The Anhui Provincial Development and Reform Commission (Anhui Provincial Auto Industry Office) has launched a special column on Anhui automotive industry study-tour programs. The Chery study-tour base, which holds dual national-level industrial tourism credentials — a National Industrial Tourism Demonstration Site and a First-Batch National Industrial Tourism Innovation Entity — has been included on the recommended list.

The base is built around four core sites: Chery Wuhu Intelligent Manufacturing Plant 1, Chery Industrial Park Phase IV, the Chery Corporate Exhibition Hall and the Chery Longshan Test Center. It delivers immersive industrial study-tour experiences, drawing on full-industry-chain resources covering fuel, hybrid and battery-electric vehicle manufacturing, global R&D, vehicle safety testing and brand development. It is a leading national-level practice base for the automotive industry, technological innovation, patriotism education and craftsmanship training in Anhui and nationwide.

The program has three modules. The intelligent manufacturing module allows participants to tour the smart vehicle plant and observe automated welding and assembly lines, exploring the full process of smart auto manufacturing. The science and innovation module offers auto-science lectures and DIY car-model workshops to bridge theory and hands-on practice. The national strength module highlights the rise of China's auto industry and the responsibility of home-grown brands.

Unlike the traditional one-way tour model, the Chery study-tour base has rolled out immersive role-playing challenges. Participants become "Chery Smart-Manufacturing Explorers," completing check-in tasks with mission cards. They observe, take notes, learn manufacturing techniques and do hands-on creations on their own. Upon completing all tasks, they receive custom badges and completion certificates, and may be honored as an "Outstanding Chery Smart-Manufacturing Explorer," achieving the goal of learning through play and gaining insight through learning.
